I know it seems like I just got back, so to speak, but Christmas is bearing down on us and we are fleeing to the mountains where we will alternately celebrate and combat it with cheese, apple strudel, needlepoint, TV, hiking, and sleep.
Happy holidays to everyone who reads my scribbles. You have made this a wonderful year for me.

Love that photo of the gondola with the Santa hat!
Feliz Navidad to you and your man.
… and need we remind you that you make each year wonderful for us, Erla? Have a wonderful, lazy, energetic, peaceful, lively, gastronomic, simple and every-other-apposite-pair-of-adjectives break!
I will obey your orders down to the tiniest detail!
Happy Holidays to you from Norway. I so enjoy each and every one of your post. It tudes me over until my next visit in Venezia.

Buon Natale, woman (and man).
Well, he wouldn’t be the first! In fact, he’s assigned to the strudel-eating squad.
Bon Nadal! (the only words of the Venetian dialect I know).
I wish all the best for you and your loved ones for the holiday season and the coming year.
You bring me back to Venice with each one of your posts.
Happy Holidays from near Seattle, WA, USA.
Michelle
Thanks so much!
Buon Natale, Erla,
I follow your postings, and your articles in Craftsmanship, assiduously. We will be in Venice next May for 11 days. Maybe we will run into you. It will be our 6th trip, and we hope not our last.
Thanks for the season’s greetings, which I heartily echo. I’m glad you’re coming back to Venice. Repeat visitors are the best.
Bon Nadałe Erla!
Thank you for all your wonderful accounts of Venetian life.
