For technical reasons I regret, especially because I forgot about them, the YouTube clip which looks splendid on my dazzling official full-color blog page does not carry over in the version of my posts which come via e-mail to my faithful subscribers.
Excuse me, I have to scream.
So let me try this: If you click on this link, perhaps you will see all the guts and glunder that went on here Sunday afternoon.

Oooh, thank you for the link, Erla!
I’m glad you liked it. Even with my modest skills with the language, sometimes you really just have to see it.
Oh, quite true, though you did an excellent job with the written word.
It makes me wonder if we’ll have anywhere near the excitement and drama when we host the America’s cup here in San Francisco. We don’t have much in the way of races on the bay, period, so your tales of regatte erase a saudade in life.
I think perhaps we’ll not have the same flair for the dramatic, but since last year’s winning team just capsized their boat in practices over the weekend, perhaps we’ll have the excitement part!
it sounds as if there is tremendous scope for drama out your way. Please keep us all posted on any noteworthy events. Capsizing in practice kind of doesn’t count, though — I mean, in practice you’re allowed almost any mistakes as long as you don’t repeat them! And considering the level of the crews involved, I’m inclined to regard almost anything as part of a complex psychological attack plan.
